Meeting Minutes
Present for the September meeting were Kathryn, Ann C., Ann R., Leslie, Peggy, Deb, Anita, Andrea, Maggie and Julie W.
This was not an official meeting but rather a wonderful workshop hosted by Kathryn at her studio at the Golden Turtle Trading Center in Oldenburg, Indiana, an historic town founded by German settlers. This is a wonderful shop full of artisan-made goods made from natural materials.
Kathryn showed us how to create Spool Tassels from old wooden thread spools, decorated with fancy trims, topped with a wool felt ball with a hand made tassel on the bottom. Everyone completed their project and some even completed two!
Kathryn's studio was full of supplies that we could choose from. The room was cozy and inviting with lots of windows that looked out on the town. After completing our projects we ate our sack lunches and enjoyed each other's company. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable day for sure! Thank you Kathryn for showing us how to make these beautiful keepsakes and inspire our creativity!
