Business Meeting
Sue assumed the responsibility of leading our meeting in Andrea's absence while she was teaching at John C. Campell Folk School.
The spring class dates with Barbara Schoenoff are April 12-13, 2025. Details will be coming as soon as we get them.
Plans for the October Julie McCullough tribute open house were discussed. This will be held at the Franklin Road Branch library located at 5550 S Franklin Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46239 from 10:30-1:00 on Saturday October 19. There will be display tables with completed Julie McCullough dolls made by our members. Also, we will have members demonstrating different aspects of making a doll.
Our annual Art Doll Show and Holiday Fair will be on Saturday, November 23 from 9:00-3:00. Our "In the Woods" challenge dolls will be on display. Since this is the year of the Dragon there will be a display of Dragon's made by our members including ones made in Amy Felske's Book Dragon class earlier this year. There will be tables with members selling their handmade one-of-a-kind items that would make wonderful Christmas gifts.
For our Christmas Party in December plans are to have a handmade gift exchange for those who would like to participate. Sue and Virginia, (our official party planners) have suggested a Victorian themed party. You must wear a hat (Hmm, prizes might be given??)
Program
Virginia had a great program on making a quick and easy holder for paint bottles using Dollar Tree napkin holders and paper towel holders.
