Happy, happy birthday to Julie G. and Liz!

Meeting Minutes

Attending the January meeting were Deb, Katie, Anita, Jude, Andrea, Leslie, Ann C., Julie W., Julie G., Mary, and new guest Tim.  Anita was our name tag winner.

Show and Tell

Deb brought a paper doll she had made from instructions in her book "Cloth Doll Artistry" by Barbara Willis.  Great job Deb!

Anita brought two books on making miniature millinery and shoes.  Great books Anita with so much information in them.

Julie W. showed pictures of 5 dolls she made for Christmas gifts.

Business

Andrea shared information about an upcoming Doll  show in Toledo, Ohio in March.

Leslie is working on plans for our May meeting with Doll Circle of Indianapolis. Tentative plans are to have the meeting in Boggstown and have a pitch in luncheon. Doll Circle will be in charge of this year's meeting which will be Saturday May 9.

Jude is collecting dues and the fee for our spring workshop which Amy Felske will be presenting on her "Wise Woman".  Jude is also updating contact information for our members.

For our Show and Sale this year we are asking members to make a doll from one of our club pin doll books to sell.  Several people who came to the show had asked to purchase our samples, so this way would be able to provide some to sell as we don't sell our samples.

There is interest in having a round robin doll exchange this year.  Members who wish to participate need to bring a blank doll body (do not attach head) in a bag to the March meeting to exchange with the other participants.

Ann will be ordering new business cards and requested members send her doll head shots to put on the cards.

This years' challenge doll theme (due in November) will be "Food, Glorious Food" so of course the doll will be made with that in mind.

Program

The program for the January meeting was to share a UFO from the member's stash.

Jude brought a doll from a Christine Shively pattern that just needs some hair.

Andrea needs to complete a quilt from a class she taught at John C. Campbell Folk School last year.

Tim is creating a piano.  Hmm, can't wait to see it, Tim!

Leslie wants to finish a doll she has been working on for some time.  She also shared that she and Barbara have a private challenge to create a vintage doll.

Ann C. received an incomplete doll from Martha who had most of the doll parts completed but needs to be put together.
