Happy Birthday to Maggie!

Show and Tell
Sue and Virginia recently made a trip to the Bewitching Peddlers of Halloween Show in Marshall Michigan.  They each shared purchases they had made.

Denise has been quite busy knitting some fantastic items.  She brought an absolutely gorgeous shawl and a sweet gnome she had knitted.

Denise also has been busy experimenting with eco-dyeing.  She brought samples of fabrics and paper she created.  These were amazing!

As if that wasn't enough, Denise also has started another doll she has named Freda and shared her work in progress with a paperclay head.  We can't wait to see it completed!

Nita shared three doll she has made including her country doll and scrap bag doll.  They are all adorable!

Katie brought her completed bird doll challenge made of paperclay.  She was inspired by the national bird of Israel called a Hoopoe.  The yellow feathers symbolize the joy and hope of finally being free and looking at the bright future ahead. A fabulous job, Katie.  She is beautiful!

Linda brought and showed us a china grandma doll head.  Sorry I failed to get a picture!

Joan showed us some Doggie Poop bag holders and reusable grocery bags she is making for the charity table at the Show and Sale.

Meeting Minutes
Present at the October meeting were Andrea, Linda, Virginia, Kathryn, Sue, Julie W., Denise, Ron, Julie G., Ann C., Nita, Jude, Katie and Joan.

Ann C. passed out publicity items for the Doll Show and Holiday Art Fair.  Andrea informed us we have room for more sales tables available.  Please contact her if you want some space.
We will have a charity table for Hope Center Indy as we have in the past. We are requesting each member donate at least one hand made item to sell.  Please put a price on each of your items.  We will also have tables dedicated to the Alice in Wonderland challenge, Bird Doll challenge, Christine Shively class and since this is our 20th annual show, please bring winners of any of past challenges you have for display.  If you cannot attend,
you may contact one of the officers to make arrangements to display your doll.  We also will have a table on which you may display any dolls you may have made in the last 2-3 years.

Future Business
In the spring of 2023, March 11 & 12, we will have a class with Deanna Hogan.  Julie G. informed us the class is full, but she is making a waiting list so you may contact her in case there is a cancellation.
There are plans to have an INfiber collaboration with a spirit doll/four seasons theme sometime in 2023.

Program
Joan presented a program on using electronic LED lights with fabrics.  She made a Zombie VOO DOO doll using this technique.  How fun! She showed us how to wire the lights, make a switch, and shared books and samples of items needed to do a project as well as resources to purchase these items.  Her program was extremely informative and inspirational.  Thank you, Joan!

Next Meeting
There will be no official meeting in November as that is the day of our fabulous 20th Annual Doll Show and Holiday Art Fair at the Irvington United Methodist Church from 9-4.  Alice in Wonderland Challenge dolls will be unveiled and judged on that day.

Our next official meeting will be December 17, 2022, when we have our annual Christmas Party.  We will have a pitch-in brunch and Virginia will make a list of who will bring what.  For those who wish to participate, there will be a Christmas Carol gift exchange (Dickens related or song related).  We will also be voting for officers for 2023 and voting on Challenge doll themes for 2023.
