February Meeting Minutes
There were 12 members at the February meeting.  Andrea, Janet, Joan, Jude, Katie, Martha, Ann R., Leslie, Vicki, Mary, Maggie, and Ann C. were all in attendance.
Maggie won the name tag drawing.
Not much show and tell this meeting, but Joan never ceases to amaze us with her creativity.  Here are two examples:

We will be having a Charity Sale at the November Show. It was decided that any type of item can be made by club members to sell.  The maker should set the price for their items.  100% of the sale price will be donated to the charity we decide on.
To decide on a charity to support -- interested club members should submit a short proposal describing their preferred local charity.  Send them to Andrea between now and June.  She will gather them up and share them with the club at the June meeting, and we will vote in July for the charity we will donate to this year.
Katie will look into reprinting our business cards, and possibly add meeting time info to the back. She and Joan are researching Facebook groups.  Katie is also interested in updating or re-doing the photo banner, so she is inviting people to send her good face photos of their dolls.
The program was  discussing Patti Culea patterns, and how to start a doll, with attention given to fabric, grainline, hand-basting, and methods of marking patterns.

Next Meeting
For March, people should bring their sewn and stuffed body, legs, and maybe arms -- stuffed but not sewn closed.  We'll talk about stuffing and closing those openings, as well as joint attachments.  We'll do hands in April, so if your arm pattern is attached to the hands, bring just body and legs in March.
Also in March, everyone please bring 5-10 strips of cotton fabric, measuring 3"x10".  We need about 90 all together.  They do not have to coordinate.  These will be the skirts for the small doll kits we are putting together for the AFICC gift bags.
